Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/05/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting - Assignment is 13 weeks in length with rotating day/night 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm/7pm-7:30am) - Shift assignment may vary based on operational needs with possible rotation - Patient population includes adult medical/surgical and telemetry patients - ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate proficiency assessments required during orientation - Documentation of hours is managed through the Qualivis Lotus system - Required to work at least every other holiday during the assignment - Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as travelers - Permanent and per diem candidates must not have worked at the facility within the past year - Negative 10-panel drug screen required annually, but nurses are currently exempt from nicotine screening - Candidates must complete onsite fingerprinting and badging prior to start date - Pre-start modules must be completed and are tracked via Silkroad, with annual modules required for longer assignments - PAPRs not allowed as alternatives for facial hair except with approved medical or religious exemptions Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of application - AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required and must be active - Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; travel experience will suffice - One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for consideration - Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with up to two attempts allowed Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627600.
