Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a permanent OH or compact RN license and recent specialty experience. Responsibilities - Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting - Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am - Works with a medical-surgical patient population requiring telemetry monitoring - ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation with two attempts permitted - Background checks including BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract - Nicotine testing is not required for nurses - Annual and pre-start training modules are required and tracked through Silkroad - Candidates must pick up their badge and complete onsite fingerprinting prior to start date - Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate Requirements - Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration - Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required with no pending status - NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start - Minimum of 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel - One recent supervisory reference in the specialty required for consideration - No previous permanent or per diem employment at the facility within the past year Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614083.
