Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent MS/Tele experience and active OH or compact RN licensure. Responsibilities - Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting - Provide care for med/surg and telemetry patients - 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation as needed to meet hospital needs - Possible contract length up to 15-16 weeks - Travelers may be scheduled for both day (7am-7:30pm) and night (7pm-7:30am) shifts - Required to work at least every other holiday - Orientation includes assessments with two attempts allowed to pass - Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday assignment - Both local and travel nurses are accepted for this position - Permanent and per diem candidates must wait one year after their last assignment to return - Negative 10-panel drug screen (including nicotine) required within 12 months of start - Background checks require BCI/FBI fingerprints completed within 48 hours of signing contract - Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed prior to the start date - Modules must be completed prior to start and annually if assignment continues for one year - PAPRs usage for facial hair is restricted except for approved medical or religious exemptions Requirements - Active, permanent OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration - AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active - Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent MS/Tele experience required, with travel experience accepted - One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for consideration - Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-608396.
