Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with rotating day/night shifts and current OH or compact license required. Responsibilities - Position is in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a major hospital setting - Floating to other units may be required depending on hospital needs - Works 3x12-hour shifts with both day (7am-7:30pm) and night (7pm-7:30am) rotation, as operationally needed - Must be available to work at least every other holiday - Uses telemetry equipment and manages adult med/surg patients - Electronic charting is completed via Qualivis – Lotus - Patient care is provided in a high-acuity medical-surgical telemetry environment - Orientation will include mandatory competency assessments with two attempts allowed - Annual and onboarding modules are required and tracked through Silkroad - Nicotine-free testing requirement does not apply to nurses or CSTs - Candidates must complete onsite fingerprinting and badge pick-up prior to start - Locals are accepted at the same bill rate Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration - AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required and must be current - At least 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required prior to travel assignments - One supervisory reference in Med/Surg Tele is required for consideration - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation - Perm employees may not return within 1 year of previous end date Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617365.
