Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact license. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit - Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts, typically two weeks per schedule, 7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am - Three 12-hour shifts per week - Scheduling may accommodate preferred shifts when possible, but rotation is required to meet operational needs - Travelers are required to work at least every other holiday - All required certifications and licenses must be active; pending status is not accepted - Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to the health system for one year after prior end date - Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate - Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start; nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from nicotine testing - Badging and fingerprinting must be completed onsite prior to start date - Pre-start and annual training modules are required and tracked digitally - ECG and safeMedicate testing must be successfully completed within two attempts during orientation - Facility does not allow the use of PAPRs for facial hair except with an approved medical or religious exemption Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration - Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required - AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active - One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation - No open cases on background check; license must be free of disciplinary actions Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-609499.
