Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit - Both day and night 12-hour shifts available, with possible rotation to meet operational needs - Assignment is for 13 weeks with a 3 x 12-hour shift schedule - Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases - Must work at least every other holiday per assignment requirements - ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate testing are completed during orientation - Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to hospital system for one year from previous end date - Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate - Pre-employment badging and fingerprinting must be completed onsite prior to start - Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free requirements per current facility policy Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license required and must be in hand - AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active - Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele is required prior to any travel assignment - Must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience including travel - One professional reference from a supervisor or above in the specialty is required - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation with two attempts maximum Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620956.
