Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is located in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Provides care to adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring - Three 12-hour shifts per week with day/night rotating schedule (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am); variable shifts possible to meet operational needs - Must be able to work at least every other holiday - Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments - Locals are accepted at the same bill rate - Returning permanent or per diem candidates must wait at least one year from previous assignment end date at the facility - PAPRs are only permitted for caregivers with medical or religious exemptions for facial hair - Pre-assignment onsite badging and fingerprinting required - Annual and pre-start specialty modules must be completed as part of onboarding - Candidates with open background check cases will not be accepted Requirements - Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration - Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to any travel assignment - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the relevant specialty required - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with two attempts maximum allowed Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620839.
