Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience. Responsibilities - Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit - 3x12 hour shifts per week with day/night rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am); shifts may vary based on operational needs - Rotating required shifts between day and night as operationally needed - Med/Surg Tele patient population with telemetry monitoring responsibilities - ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments must be completed and passed during orientation - Must be available to work at least every other holiday - Locals are accepted at the same pay rate - Candidates with open legal cases or license issues are not eligible - Permanent and per diem employees must wait one year before returning for another assignment - Nicotine-free status is not required for nurses at this time - PAPRs are not approved for caregivers with facial hair unless a valid medical or religious exemption is provided - Facility requires onsite fingerprinting and badge pickup before start date - Annual and pre-start training modules must be completed as required by specialty Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Tele RN experience required - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Tele is required - Must pass orientation ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with an acceptable score within two attempts Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621990.
