Job Description Description /n - Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. /n - Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. /n - Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. /n - Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. /n - Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. /n - Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. /n - Performs other duties as assigned. /n - Complies with all policies and standards. /n - For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. /n - Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. /n - Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. /n - This position is part time 24 hours per week. /n - Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. /n - The patient population is adult acute care. /n /n /n Qualifications /n - Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or /n - (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing required. /n - (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. /n - (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. /n - Knowledge of nursing process and practice. /n - Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. /n - Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Required Upon Hire and /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire. /n - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on clinical area standards. /n - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on clinical area standards. /n /n /n /n
