Job Summary: Provide safe and efficient nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced 30-bed unit, utilizing the nursing process to optimize health outcomes.

The University Hospitals Lake West Step Down Unit is a dynamic environment that requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to deliver high-quality care to patients of varying acuity. As a nurse on this unit, you will have the opportunity to work in a team-based environment, utilizing your technical skills and critical thinking to provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the nursing process to deliver effective relationship-based nursing care.
  
• Develop and maintain technical skills in care delivery to ensure safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  
• Contribute to the professional practice of nursing through self-development and collaboration with colleagues.
  
• Display leadership skills to influence optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

    Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
      
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
      
    • Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
      
      
      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      
      
      • 
        
      • Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
        
      • Technical skills in care delivery, including use of various equipment and devices.
        
        
        Licenses and Certifications:
        
        
        • 
          
        • Registered Nurse (RN) License in Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License.
          
        • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
          
        • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be required based on clinical area standards.
