Description Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to
patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them
to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Dimensions are:\n\n 1. Implements the nursing process by delivering
effective relationship based nursing care. \n\n 2. Demonstrates
technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and

values.\nQualifications Lerner Tower 8 is a 30 bed unit
specializing in Trauma acute care in the only Level 1 Trauma Center
on Cleveland's Eastside. Patients come to the unit from the
Emergency Department, Trauma ICU, PACU and other hospitals. Trauma
affects multiple body systems allowing exposure and experience to
work with multiple specialties including ortho, neuro, cardiac and
thoracic. Certain needs and devices RNs on this unit encounter
include: TPN, tracheostomies, NG tubes, PEG tubes, wound vacs,
drains, heparin drips, chest tubes, external fixators, drains, and
blood administration. The unit works very closely with the Trauma
team for education and enhanced learning experiences so the team is
very comfortable caring for the patients. \n\n *New Grad RNs who
accept a position on Tower 8 are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on
bonus in addition to the $15,000 Loan Repayment program.\n\n
Position Requirements:\nThorough knowledge of nursing process and
practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet
patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes,
thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring
devices.\n\nEducation Requirements:\nDiploma in Nursing, Associate
in Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Master of Nursing (MN) from
an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred. \n\n License
Requirements:\nAn Ohio RN license is not required to be considered
for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers
may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN
license within time frame discussed at the time of offer
acceptance. \n\n Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the
American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing
Orientation. \n\n Preferred Qualifications:\nBSN preferred. Prior
experience in the Acute Care setting in a practicum or UAP capacity
(STNA, PCNA, NA II, etc.) is preferred.\n\n Be sure to ask your
