Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  
• Operates and helps maintain all equipment in the lab
  
• Manages the flow of products through the in-house UL lab test facility
  
• Responsible for construction of samples and test decks for all Tremco products for UL requirements
  
• Works with other ASTM testing including wind uplift and other outdoor exposures
  
• Responsible for relationship and all communication to UL
  
• Responsible for management of in-house UL lab
  
• Keeps UL manual up to date and processes all necessary paperwork
  
• Works with manufacturing, R&D, and the Product Group as it relates to UL Roofing Codes and approvals.
  
• Interfaces with the Codes and Approvals Manager, Product Managers, Sales, Manufacturing and Technical Service to support the roofing product line as it relates to UL certification
  
• Assists with testing programs at UL
  
• Provides feedback to R&D and Product Group departments on necessary changes or modifications to Tremco products to meet codes or Tremco guidelines
  
• Supports Roofing Division Product Managers as it relates to UL standards
  
• Assists in the training and development of internal employees and contractors as required, regarding UL standards
  
• Occasionally travels to Tremco job sites to support correct product application.
  
• Maintains relationship with UL and keeps up with any changing requirements
  
• Controls inventory of lab supplies
  
• Develops a test schedule to provide efficient turn-around for testing
  
• Maintains quick and accurate written and verbal responses to questions
  
• Maintains accurate summary of test results
  
• Responsible for safety requirements of the Fire Test Lab and surrounding area
  
• Performs housekeeping duties, as needed
  
• Manages direct reports in Fire Test Lab
  
• Performs other duties, as assigned
