teach and discover, the opportunities for Neonatal APP will include
exposure to varied, extensive and challenging newborn and neonatal
care experiences.
Description
Seeking experienced Neonatal APP to work in a fast-paced
environment, offering an academic health care setting. We offer a
variety of shift options, ranging from 10 hour, 12 hour up to 24
hour coverage, including Day/Night, Nights, weekends and holiday
hours. The NNP will assess, implement, and evaluate appropriate
plan of care for patients. This includes diagnostic and therapeutic
interventions, in accordance with the scope of practice of an
Neonatal APP and current standard of care. Neonatal APP will manage
care for a caseload of medically complex neonates in both the acute
phase and transition to home as well as participate in deliveries.
Must be able to demonstrate competencies defined in Neonatal APP
responsibilities in providing age-appropriate care to neonates from
birth to the age of two years. Neonatal APP will be expected to
initiate and participate in education, research and professional
activities that contribute to improving patient care, Neonatal APP
program operation, or the Neonatal APPs own professional
development.
This position will be a split/shared position within level IV NICU
& Stepdown unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center plus community
coverage at Lake west/Tripoint.
Responsibilities include:
Education:
Master of Science in Nursing with Advanced Practice Certification
specific to the neonatal population or PA with fellowship training
in NICU setting.
License Requirements:
Current Ohio Nursing license.
Current Ohio APRN license.
Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive
authority.
Current Ohio PA license.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience working as a NICU RN with recent NNP program
completion preferred.
PA with neonatal experience will be considered.
Experience working as a Neonatal APP for a large healthcare
system
