Title: Director, Program Management

Reports To: Vice President, Program Management

As a Director, Program Management, your essential job functions will include the following:

Lead Profitable Growth of OEM Programs

  • Strategic and tactical P&L responsibility for multiple OEM programs with the highest level(s) of company revenue, equating to several hundred million dollars of sales.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships at multiple executive levels at each assigned OEM account, becoming a trusted advisor on all things related to the business.
  • Guide General Managers in establishing clear objectives with and for each OEM program; assess performance and priorities regularly, develop recommended actions where appropriate, and hold internal and external meetings to drive change.
  • Drive profitability of each OEM - units, revenue, share gain, cost-to-serve, and EBITDA.
  • Lead facilitation of the annual business planning process by driving strategies and tactics across all programs and across Dealer Tire functions (esp. sales and supply chain).
  • Maximize profitability, ROI and budget optimization with the tire manufacturers.
  • Work closely with Tire Manufacturers, OEM's and internal teams to ensure we are designing, developing, and executing a high-ROI promotional plan which benefits all stakeholders.
  • Proactively communicate ongoing challenges and opportunities to supervisor.

    Excellent Execution of Existing Programs
    • Be well versed in details of all assigned OEM contracts
      • Contract periods and terms
      • Financial terms
      • Agreed upon service levels and initiatives
      • Provide leadership and support to team for effective first level resolution on day-to-day and larger issues that arise with each OEM.
      • Educate and train OEMs on Dealer Tire internal operations/programs.
      • Work closely with IT to ensure OEM obligations are met and prioritized effectively.
      • Quarterback issue resolution and project/product launches between sales, supply chain, program operations, pricing & merchandising, and finance.
        • Work seamlessly with Sales Operations, Program Operations, Finance, Pricing & Merchandizing, and others to continuously improve internal and external processes, add value to the program, and drive efficiency. Ensure commitments made to OEMs align with internal goals and metrics.
        • Develop & review best practices with management team for execution across the entire organization.

          Manage New Business Development
          • Identify opportunities to broaden and deepen Dealer Tire's relationships with each OEM by selling, distributing, and/or administering additional products/programs, entering new geographies, or otherwise expanding our business.
          • Work with analysts to model financials of potential new business and build proposals and bids that deliver value for all stakeholders and support Dealer Tire and OEMs' longer term strategic interests.
          • Collaborate with the Dealer Tire Family of Companies to find potential business opportunities with our OEMs.

            Leadership Mentoring & Coaching
            • Mentor, coach and develop team of General Managers, Program Managers, Brand Managers and Promotional Specialists so that they form a solid pool of future leaders at Dealer Tire.
            • Leverage your team's skills and capacity to achieve outstanding results for OEM programs.
            • Inspire and motivate your team to have a passion for Dealer Tire and Program Management; model Dealer Tire core values and guiding principles.
            • Communicate operational priorities, objectives, and goals.
            • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
            • Complete performance evaluations for your team and recommend appropriate action such as promotions, counseling, and termination.
            • Determine staffing needs, interview potential candidates, and hire associates.

              Other Duties as Assigned

              Position Requirements
              • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Management or related field.
              • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales, Program Management or Marketing preferably with OEM account management experience.
              • Ability to understand company and customer-level financial statements and analysis.
              • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both internally and externally.
              • Executive presence and ability to present complex concepts to various levels of management at assigned OEMs.
              • Strong knowledge of Dealer Tire operations and business processes.
              • Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills required.
              • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment required.
              • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products required. Special focus on PowerPoint and Excel.
              • Experience managing direct reports & developing improved processes.

                  Physical Job Requirements
                  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
                  • Sitting for long periods of time.
                  • Must be able and willing to travel as required. Travel Estimate: 40%

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing.
