Job Description:
Gertsburg Licata looks to add a Business Development Manager to
its team. The Business Development Manager cultivates client
development opportunities and assists attorneys and firm
practice-area groups with their business development and marketing
efforts. The Business Development Manager works with the firm's
Marketing & Business Development Department to identify new
business opportunities to help drive new revenue acquisition,
account expansion and client retention. This role entails a high
level of collaboration with attorneys and service line leaders,
frequent client and prospective client interaction, and requires
strategic communication, adept writing skills, proactive and
creative thinking, and proficient workload prioritization. -
-Responsibilities: -
- Define and execute new business development strategies to drive
growth across the firm's various service lines through new and
existing client relationships, while aligning with critical
business objectives. -
- Execute client development and new business development
programs to build and nurture relationships and generate demand for
services, including pitch and proposal development. -
- Help to maintain and drive activity related to current and
prospective clients' pipelines, leading implementation of the sales
strategy. -
- Identify opportunities and execute strategies to cross-sell
firm's capabilities across practice areas and consultative service
lines. -
- Monitor competitive landscape, report insights and make
recommendations to strategically position the firm and its service
lines in the marketplace. -
- Assist with client experience efforts, including leveraging
client data to ensure we have an accurate picture of our
relationships and identifying ways we can continually develop
clients. -
- Leverage firm-hosted, business-development events, including
webinars, client training, networking receptions, industry
conferences and more to identify new business opportunities. -

- Prepare and manage business development budget and associated
reporting. -
- Performs other duties as assigned. -Keys for Success -Your
background: -
- 5+ years of B2B business development experience, ideally in a
professional services field (legal, accounting, financial, and a
minimum of three years of project management experience. -
- Experience in business development strategy, pitch and proposal
formation, creating and monitoring business plans, activity and
opportunity reporting, goal tracking and sales pipeline management.

- Proven success prospecting and developing new business
relationships. -
- Experience improving and measuring sales metrics to encourage
data-driven decisions. -
- Demonstratable ability to build strong partnerships with
internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth. -
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Experience with Salesforce.com (or similar) to manage client
relationships, opportunity pipelines and project reporting. -
