the world. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain & Patient Support
Services officer, this role is responsible for leading the
customer-facing work of Excelerate, Cleveland Clinic's joint
venture Group Purchasing Organization. Responsible for commercial
strategic planning, owning the product offering, leading go-to
market planning and execution, negotiating customer contracts,
leading business development and in general owning the commercial
facing work of the business. Interfaces with c-suite executives at
prospective and member health systems, as well as clinical service
line leaders. Works closely with our joint venture partners, and
navigates within the Cleveland Clinic for all new offerings and
support. Responsible for overall top-line revenue growth as well as
operating margin health.Responsibilities:
- Interface with prospective customer c-suite, executive teams,
service line leaders, and/or clinicians, as necessary, through the
sales cycle, driving the value of the program with clinical and
financial benefits
- Develop and implement the commercial strategic plan that will
deliver growth based on existing and future offerings
- Serve as the primary commercial interface for new customers, in
conjunction with joint venture sales teams
- Target new members based on product spend and fit to
models
- Responsible for the Excelerate brand. Partner with joint
venture partner on the creation of marketing materials that reflect
the commercial direction. Develop and implement marketing
communication programs including brand awareness, trade show
participation and social media presence. Create customer journeys
through white papers, thought leadership, key meetings and specific
marketing
- Manage the sales pipeline, with visibility to all new
prospects, current status, time to close and potential
- Serve as the representative for the creation of commercial
legal documents
- Identify missing product offerings within the portfolio and
lead the creation and launch of those products, either through
external partnerships, internal offerings ready for broader use or
new development
- Participate on the executive level to develop and execute
long-term strategic plans. A key advisor to the executive team on a
broad range of sales, marketing, and operational issues impacting
sales on a global basis
- Review all new sales prospect financials, ensuring target
operating models are maintained
- Lead commercial teams as assigned and appropriateEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in management, business, or other related
field required.
- A Master's degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Clinical experience in the medical field preferred (i.e.
physician, nurse, respiratory therapy, etc.)Languages:

- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the
ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, vision and
direction with multi-site responsibilities.
- Clinical expertise that provides credibility with other health
system executives, clinicians and service line leaders, with a
demonstrated track record of clearly communicating clinical
value
- Track record of business growth
- Ability to influence results, garner support and tactfully
manage complex relationships and influences within and across the
organization.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, persuasion,
consulting, team building and negotiation skills required.Work
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience, which includes a minimum
of 5 years in a clinical setting as a medical practitioner and 5
years in a commercial role in a healthcare technologies
industry.
- Offset: Master's degree and 10 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, vision and
direction with multi-site responsibilities demonstrating
accountability and promoting transparency.
- Proven experience in commercial roles, in sales, marketing or
business development leading commercial transactions, screening
deals, and developing a business case with supply chain or business
operations.
- Strong communication and analytical skills are
