Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTERBiweekly Hours: 40.00Shift:
8AM to 4:30PM Monday through FridayThe MetroHealth System is

departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary:In
collaboration with the SVP-Chief Quality and Safety Officer, leads
clinical care quality management across The MetroHealth System.
Oversees and ensures that safe and reliable processes are embedded
into the delivery of patient centered care, and develops a culture
which values equity, patient safety, clinical excellence, patient
experience, and continuous learning. Develops plans designed to
improve the overall quality of the organization's facilities and
patient care services. Oversees the implementation of quality
improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and
maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, Ohio Department of
Health, and other accreditation standards. Collaborates with
hospital leadership and medical staff to promote identification of
organizational vulnerabilities and creates plans for mitigation.
The VP is also responsible for implementing strategies for
improvement on publicly reported measures such as Leapfrog and CMS
Hospital Compare Star Rating. Serves as ambassador for the
MetroHealth System and builds positive community relationships.
Advances the organizations position with relevant constituents, as
well as drives broader awareness and support for MetroHealth.
Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards
of The MetroHealth System.Qualifications:Required:Masters Degree
(Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business
Administration, Nursing, etc.).8 years of progressively responsible
experience encompassing clinical and quality improvement
responsibilities.Minimum 5 years of experience as leader in
healthcare field.Experience with CMS (Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services) conditions of participation for acute care
hospitals and CMS survey processes.Proven experience in safety,
quality, and experience initiatives.In-depth knowledge of external
clinical quality reporting requirements.Current knowledge of Joint
Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations, and
standards.Superb communication, facilitation, negotiation, and
listening skills, accompanied by the ability to know how to and
when to influence, persuade, direct, challenge, and relinquish
control.Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation
skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior
management, Board of Trustees, and staff.Preferred:Certified
Professional of Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional
in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Yellow belt or higher in Lean Six-sigma
training (Will be required to obtain one of these certifications
within 18-months of employment)Patient quality and safety
experience in a large organization.Previous inpatient clinical
experience.Physical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, stoop,
bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.May sit or stand
for extended periods of time.Ability to use computer.Ability to
communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other
communications.Ability to read job-related documents.Ability to
travel.
