Terrific Program Director role with a member-based organization focused on engaging corporations and investors on a range of social and environmental issues, both in the US and globally. This Program Director position will oversee the workflow and shareholder advocacy efforts relating to global supply chains, and their interaction with human rights issues in the Global South. The Director will be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to build leadership teams and organize strategic efforts that meet a common goal of corporate responsibility. Candidates should have established relationships in the field and an expertise in supply chains or business and human rights.
Qualified candidates should have approximately 5-7+ years of experience directly related to advocacy, human rights, or supply chain. Salary is commensurate with experience. The position can be based remotely anywhere in the EST or CST time zone. There is an office that can be used as a base in New York City at the candidate's option.

  • Provide expertise, strategy, and leadership to organization members; serve as an expert on human rights and global supply chains
  • Mobilize members to further the organization's mission
  • Collaborate with the Senior Advisor to create and implement a work plan for the program
  • Maintain and develop partnerships and relationships with key partners in the field
  • Assemble roundtables and strategy sessions with various stakeholders
  • Engage with the relevant stakeholders to advance the programs policy priorities
  • Represent the organization at conferences and other public forums
  • Travel as needed when safe in the future


    • Approximately 5-7+ years of relevant experience with advocacy and expertise in supply chains, business and human rights, or shareholder advocacy
    • Bachelor's degree or more extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
    • Independent thinker that has the ability to work collaboratively
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Track record of creating leadership teams involving diverse stakeholders
    • Experience building partnerships made up of varied stakeholder groups
