Assistant Manager, PLM Process & Systems

LOCATION

Orrville, OH

-IDEAL CANDIDATES WOULD CURRENTLY LIVE/RELOCATE TO NORTHEAST OHIO TO WORK IN OUR ORRVILLE CORPORATE OFFICE. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER REMOTE WORKERS THAT LIVE WITHIN THE EASTERN TIME ZONE (REQUIREMENT FOR BUSINESS NEEDS).

Senior Manager, Product Data Systems and Projects

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager, PLM Process & System will work closely with Operations, Research & Development, Governance and IS teams to support the implementation, strategic use and continued enhancement of the enterprise PLM solution (Prodika). This role will be instrumental in ensuring that our specification and item information is controlled, accurate and secure via optimized business process and workflow throughout the item lifecycle. This role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert and consultant for integrating specification and item data into other item data and manufacturing solutions (i.e. OPM, Riversand, Proficy, TraceGains, etc.) ensuring data integrity and proper usage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Run Model & Enhancement Strategy:

* Create and maintain PLM user documentation and process maps

* Design and conduct regular training on PLM processes and system functionality

* Serve as the PLM SME and primary point of contact across the organization

* Manage system enhancements and reporting request and prioritize with business stakeholders, and the PLM team

* Apply PLM best practices to the continuous development and improvement of product development processes within the system

* Create reference materials and training documentation to communicate and reinforce PLM processes and standards

* Provide change management support for the PLM system as needed

* Establish and support a COE that empowers functional owners to embrace process and system and allows them to influence continuous improvement opportunities.

PLM Implementation:

* Collaborate with Operations, R&D, IS and Item Master Data & Governance teams to provide strategic direction for the development of PLM workflows and reporting in Smucker s PLM system

* Perform system administrator tasks such as managing and maintaining PLM user access including access policies and end user support

* Work with IS and other functional areas to integrate with appropriate enterprise systems

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

* Bachelor s degree (in a related analytical field) is strongly preferred (individuals with no degree but with specialized training or equivalent work experience will be considered)

Experience

* A minimum of 3 years of experience creating, designing, and implementing business processes is required

* System expert/super user type experience is a must

* Experience with PLM systems is strongly preferred

* Manufacturing knowledge or experience is strongly preferred

* Oracle P4P experience is a plus

* Manufacturing, Quality or Product Development experience preferred

* Understanding of the item data governance and label compliance practices

* Project Management skills and experience

* Experience working with and leading cross functional teams

* Knowledge of industry leading data quality and global data quality standards

* Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues

* Internally and externally recognized subject matter expert that influences the way things are done

* Strong presence, meeting management and facilitation skills
