Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Technician $19-23/hr Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator Technician to join our team on the 1st shift, working from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines, preparing surfaces and components for coating, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. This role requires accurate documentation of process data and collaboration with team members to meet production goals. Responsibilities Set up and operate machines efficiently and safely. Prepare surfaces and components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and positioning. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot spray equipment and mechanical systems. Document process data, production output, and quality checks accurately. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and resolve operational issues. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools such as ratchets, wrenches, drills, gears, bearings, clamps, and nuts/bolts. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on machines. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Experience in manufacturing or automotive mechanics. Ability to read blueprints or similar drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with polyurethane and rubber extrusion is a plus. Familiarity with fabrication, milling, lathes, heavy equipment, and various machining processes. Good with feedback and learning new skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in an industrial machine shop style manufacturing facility with 40 employees, all on day shift hours. The environment varies from the dirtier thermal spray and machine shop areas to cleaner polyurethane and extrusion departments. Enjoy a stable and rapidly growing industry with prominent clients such as NASA and SpaceX. Note that the facility can be hot in the summer and colder in the winter, but accommodations such as fans, garage doors, and radiant heating systems are in place. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Barberton, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
