Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical
Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will
be responsible for creating detailed schematics and working
engineering drawings of electrical devices and systems. You will
design control systems for machinery, including panel layout,
machine safety, and specifying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
components. Responsibilities Design and draft control system
schematics and working drawings for electrical devices and systems.
Conduct electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design and peripheral
device programming. Program machine PLCs and coordinate machine
debug, power-up, and validation with build and electrical teams.
Provide customer documentation and technical support during
assembly and final assembly tests. Collaborate with the R&D
team on new product development projects, including design,
testing, and technical support. Travel to installation sites for
installations and runoffs with customers. Engage with customers and
vendors to solve problems and develop solutions. Work on continuous
improvement activities to enhance product performance, reduce
costs, and standardize processes. Generate bills of materials from
specifications and drawings. Collaborate with cross-functional
teams to solve problems and develop solutions for customers.
Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or
Electrical Engineering Technology. 6 years of experience with
controls engineering and AutoCAD Electrical. Proficiency in PLC
Programming (RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, CCW).
Experience in HMI Programming (FTview). Ability to draft electrical
schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits. Understanding of
electrical design concepts, components, circuits, and power
distribution. Strong customer relations and interpersonal
communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience
in packaging automation preferred. Field engineering experience.
Proficiency in industrial machine controls. Working knowledge of
NEC, NFPA-79, and UL-508. Work Environment This is a fully onsite
position in a large manufacturing facility equipped with automated
equipment. The facility is very clean and attached to an updated
office space. The role requires interaction with various teams and
is fast-paced, offering a stimulating work environment. Job Type &
Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
Willoughby, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$47.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits
