Job Description Job Description Civil Estimator Civil Estimator Location: Hinckley, OH Salary: $80k-$120k Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for civil engineering projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects including earthwork, concrete, and structural components. - Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions. - Prepare and maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, and equipment. - Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers. - Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions and clarifying scope of work. - Participate in project meetings and provide input regarding budgetary considerations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - 2 years of experience in civil estimating. - Strong understanding of construction methods and materials, particularly in concrete and structural work. - Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
