Job Description:

Purpose:Participate in the development and management of a Tier 2 Quality Program.Manage the Quality Programs and New Model Introduction (NMI) activities, implementation of a master audit schedule, auditing and participating in Tier 2 assembly location improvement activities.Work closely with the Quality organization, Supply Chain Department, NMI Program Managers and Manufacturing Plants to establish appropriate programs, policies, procedures, and management systems to drive Tier 2 location performance. Support efforts to meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.As with each role within NSG, everyone is responsible to ensure a safe and clean working environment as well as, adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.Essential Functions:Participate in Tier 2 Quality activities focusing on qualifications, process approval, PPAP review and approval, non-conformance management, surveillance and quality initiatives as required beginning with NMI activities and throughout mass production.Support glass component supplier quality issues as applicable.Establish and maintain effective communication between NSG and Tier 2 assembly locations.Support NMI team in lessons learned/past problem history activity during design and development phaseMonitor and report Tier 2 location non-conformance performance, drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements to reduce the number of defects and cost of quality.Participate in VA/VE programs to improve NSG's competitive advantage.Assist corporate and plant quality groups on special projects.Collaborate with customer quality teams, internal central quality management, internal site teams and ambassadors, internal lab and engineering groups, and internal supplier quality team through investigation process.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
