Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology and WGSS - 2-year The Sociology and Anthropology Department and the Women's,Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program invite applications for ajoint two-year visiting assistant professor position inAnthropology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies to begin inAugust 2019. We are seeking an anthropologist (PhD or ABD) withgraduate training in women's, gender, feminist, and/or queerstudies. Geographic area and research specializations are open butmust complement existing departmental and program offerings. Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to teach a four-fieldIntroduction to Anthropology course, a culture area course, and anIntroduction to Women's Gender, and Sexuality Studies course, aswell as 200-level electives. The teaching load is 3-3, which mayinclude advising senior thesis projects. Prior teaching experienceis highly desirable. The College of Wooster enrolls a diversestudent body (21% domestic students of color and 15% internationalstudents); applicants should have experience with diverse studentpopulations.
