The Department of English at Employer invitesapplications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Englishspecializing in twentieth- and twenty-first-century globalanglophone literatures. Research and teaching interests in film andmedia studies, digital humanities, and/or environmental humanitieswould be desirable, and we are especially interested in candidateswho might contribute to one or more of the college'sinterdisciplinary programs, including Women's, Gender, andSexuality Studies, Africana Studies, Environmental Studies, MiddleEastern and North African Studies, South and East Asian Studies,and Film Studies. A two-semester teaching load consists of 5.5courses and includes introductory and survey courses, upper-levelcourses in the field of specialization, participation in theFirst-Year Seminar program, and advising projects in the College'ssignature Senior Independent Study program. PhD Required. Employer enrolls a diverse student body (21%domestic students of color and 15% international students);applicants should have experience with diverse studentpopulations.
