network.OPPORTUNITYBreakthrough Public Schools is seeking to hire
an experienced and dedicated educator to serve as the English as a
New Language (ENL) Teacher for the school year. This teacher will
work independently and collaboratively with General Education
teachers to provide individualized instructional support to K-8
English Language Learners. The ENL Teacher will ensure that our
scholars acquire English language speaking, listening, reading, and
writing skills. Individuals in this role will also collaborate with
teachers and provide professional development to support ongoing
teacher development and growth.RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities
of the English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher include, but are not
limited to:Instruct students through targeted small groups and
in-class modifications to help them achieve their learning and
language goalsUsing the SIOP framework, to design and deliver
modified general education content and targeted language
acquisition work.Provide a range of instructional, management, and
assessment strategies to meet the different needs of
studentsActively analyze student achievement and language
proficiency data to drive strategic instructional decisionsMaintain
updated ELL data, student specific language plansCollaborate with
grade-level teams across content areas to modify and differentiate
instruction as needed, assisting teachers to implement strategies
in the classroomManage testing administration for ELL
identification and language proficiencySupport student assessments
as a proctor, or exam monitor, including the administration of
testing accommodationsExecute school-based professional development
that builds educators' capacity to improve our academic and
language development support of students who are ELLsSKILLS AND

Certification or alternative licensure with evidence of enrollment
in a TESOL Endorsement program is required.Evidence of strong
student achievement in previous teaching experiencesExcellent

best-practice aligned standards for student achievementAbility to
work well in a teamExceptional ability to bridge and enhance

required; Master's Degree preferredMinimum 2 years of English as a
New Language teaching experience, urban school setting
