Description Job Description 6+ years of CAD, FEA, and Autoform experience required
Design engineer is responsible for tools from pre-award (OLQ) until OK To Cast hand over including:
Tech reviews
Simulations
Process layouts
Tool design quality
Tool design timing
Tool designs
Customer signoffs milestones in Lantern (PM system), during this period the Design Engineer is checking
Simulation for formability and thinning (surface and edge)
Process is practical and safety conscious
Designs meet customer standards, checklists, assigned conditions, and parameters
Process used in the die design matches approved process layout
Notes from prior reviews for completeness
