Reports to: Technical Developer The Role: Development Intern, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Marcus Thomas is seeking an exceptionally talented Development Intern, Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep knowledge and experience in web development technologies that can be leveraged to support projects involving Salesforce Marketing Cloud technologies, as well as other web development platforms. The candidate will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and senior leadership. This opportunity is a full-time, summer, paid internship. As Development Intern at Marcus Thomas, you won---t be forced to make coffee or pick up dry cleaning. But you will assist the team with all salesforce development activity and learn new skills that will prepare you for a career in advertising. No two days will ever be the same Essential Duties And Responsibilities Develop website solutions and infrastructure that will integrate with different web technologies, following the department---s best practices and requirements provided by the Technical Team Lead on each project. Leverage proprietary scripting language (i.e., AMPscript) from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to allow email messages and landing pages to contain dynamic content. Ensure the quality of your work and execution of test case steps provided by the Technical Architect. Requirements Successful candidates will: Be passionate about advertising, marketing communications or computer science-related careers. Possess Microsoft .NET or PHP knowledge. Possess Microsoft SQL knowledge. Have experience in web development platforms (e.g., CMS, web development frameworks, JavaScript, etc.). Be able to clearly communicate (e.g., in person, on the phone and through email). Display an eagerness to learn. Pay attention to detail; be able to multitask. Display a ---work hard, play hard--- attitude. (A good sense of humor helps too.) Be willing to proactively take on a variety of assignments. Be flexible and adaptable. Possess a positive can-do attitude. Take pride in their work and deliver best-in-class services. Gain technical knowledge and expertise in web and email technologies. Acquire technical knowledge from work experience, department education and training paths. Stay updated with the latest trends in web development. Have experience documenting requirements or meeting notes. Possess front-end development knowledge (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript); this requirement is preferred but not required.
