Robert Half is hiring an Accountant for a reputable company that is looking to expand. As an Accountant, you will perform duties such as, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent role in the Ravenna, Ohio, area.Responsibilities- Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects- Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts- Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable- Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports- Post financial information to journals and ledgers- Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Accounts Payable (AP) experience- Foundational knowledge in payroll systems for 100-500 employees- Strong familiarity with payroll- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds- Outstanding data entry skillsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
