Job Description A financial institution is seeking an Accounting Specialist to maintain payroll in compliance with company policy and government regulations and maintains, balances, and posts incoming ACH transactions.This is a first shift opportunity. Job Requirements:

• Coordinate and maintain all ACH/EFT activities
• Review payroll reporting, adjustments, deductions, withholdings, new hire and termination information
• Perform bank statement and general ledger account reconciliations, as well as other general bookkeeping duties
• Maintain pension plans, health care coverage, disability, and other benefit plans
• Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements Job Qualifications:
  • Must have a two year college degree or complete a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or an in-house training or apprenticeship program
  • Must have 2 to 5 years of similar or related experience
  • Must have knowledge of bookkeeping principles, procedures, and accounting reporting and procedures
  • Must have a strong knowledge of NACHA rules and regulations
  • Must be proficient with accounting software, Word, and Excel
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail and have strong organizational skills
  • Courtesy, tact, trust, and diplomacy are required
