Come be a part of our growth!***Relocation Assistance Available*****Pay Rate $27 - $34 / hour Pay will be Commensurate with Experience****On days the Radiologic Technologist travels, they will receive a $2.00 an hour increase and mileage reimbursement**ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:Identifies and prepares patients for X-Ray examsPerforms diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures for patient care populationOperates modality specific and technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical recordsReviews patient history and shares any observations with ProvidersUses critical thinking principles in making decisions while following companys policiesKeeps inventory and maintains supplies, to include stocking roomsKnowledgeable about radiology equipment and ensures its proper operationsMinimize patients exposure to radiation during X- Ray Imaging through the application of shielding techniques and careful positioning of patientsRespond to and/or refer patient and pharmacy phone consultations, documenting appropriately in EMRTravel - Responsible for monitoring traffic and road conditions to ensure prompt arrival time at the center requesting the x-ray. Responsible for sending over all reads to the radiology group, sharing those results with the provider, and documenting those results in the radiology binder. Must document travel time, mileage, etc appropriatelyManage and schedule patients appointments as neededOffers and fills appropriate medications accurately in house as prescribed by physicianCollaborates with team on data and achieving length of stay goals for patient satisfaction and departmental goalsAssists with administrative and registration functions, when not performing radiological examinationsConsistently audits records for appropriate billing; identifies the correct procedure code is supported by diagnosis codeAccurately edits claims for modifiers in compliance with CMS, AMA, and CPT coding guidelinesCoordinates coding audits and addendums with registration staff for accurate and complete billingPrepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatmentPerform triage and obtain vital signsObtain and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in timely mannerCollect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentialityCollect routine laboratory specimens, urinalysis and/or oral swabs (to include point of care testing)Train and assist with our Occupational Medicine service line utilizing our current EMR system, drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, respiratory fit, pulmonary function testing and/or abiding by the systems and/or protocols set forth by companyUnderstand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirementsResponsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackersAlways ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliancePerform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipmentOther duties as assigned Required QualificationsSuccessful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational programMust have American Registry of Radiologic Technologists credentials in Radiography (R).Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationGood communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and patient management skillsAbility to use EMR, PACS and basic knowledge of computer programsMust possess valid drivers license, auto insurance, and adequate, reliable transportationPunctuality, communication, and reasonable response time is requiredRequired to travel within 10-15 miles of a clinic and will be required to respond during business hoursWhen not traveling between locations, the RT will remain at their assigned home clinic (or the clinic last performing an x-ray until the need for another x-ray arises) and perform the duties as in-house RT/CSRUpon being notified by a nearby center that a patient is present needing an x-ray, the RT will be notified and arrive to that site within a reasonable amount of time (25 minutes or less depending on travel time).
